ICT & Data Officer

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, configuration, administration and ongoing performance of the Peek Technology
  • Provide first-line technical support to project teams and remote users and ensure timely resolution of technical issues
  • Ensure the security, integrity and appropriate use of project devices and data
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise in relevant Peek technical products and digital health technologies
  • Support the smooth running of the Programme from a technical perspective and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the M&E officer to develop, review and continuously improve eye, ear and hearing data collection tools in line with project requirements, data quality standards and management guidelines
  • Promote accurate and timely Programme data reporting by supporting data entry into KHIS and other government systems
  • Lead Peek and KHIS training and user onboarding to ensure accurate data capture, management and reporting
  • Through the guidance of the Programme M&E, prepare and provide data to facilitate regular data review meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field
  • Have at least three years’ experience in IT support, helpdesk or technical support, including proficiency in ticketing systems such as Jira or equivalent and demonstrated experience supporting users of digital applications, preferably in a field-base
  • Familiarity with web-based applications, data platforms and digital reporting systems.
  • Must have public health experience (eye health, ear and hearing or digital health programmes)
  • Experience working with Peek Capture or similar digital health/data collection platforms will be an added advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to work extensively in the field and travel to project implementation sites
  • Good understanding of inclusive programming, disability inclusion, safeguarding and protection principles
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with county government, donors, health facilities, community structures and implementing partners
